Watlington Methodist Church

A friendly and attractive church

Watlington is a small town of 2000 people at the foot of the Chilterns. Charles Wesley preached here but the Methodist Church itself was not built until 1812.

We have about two dozen members from the town and surrounding villages and have congregations of around 20 at our 11.00 am Sunday service. We meet for coffee half an hour before the service and have a good chat.

The church school room has been extended to create a useful space behind the worship area, and we have a Community Room which is used by art groups and others.  Formerly part of the Thame and Watlington circuit, we were delighted to come into the Oxford Circuit in 2010.
