Wesleyan Methodist Historic Roll
The Wesleyan Methodist Historic Roll is a unique set of 50 leather bound volumes which is located at Westminster Methodist Central Hall in London.
The volumes contain the names of over one million people who donated a guinea [£1 1s 0d – or £1.05] to the Wesleyan Methodist Million Guinea Fund or Twentieth Century Fund between January 1st, 1899 and June 30th , 1904.
A transcript of the entries on the roll from the Oxford Wesleyan Circuit was published by Eureka Partnership in 2008. The name of each person who made a donation (or for whom a donation was made) is recorded against the name of each church or chapel.
In the case of Wesley Memorial Church, the home addresses of the donors are also recorded. A copy of the transcript is available to view by arrangement at Wesley Memorial Church. For further information, please call 01865 243216 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively you can view the historic roll itself by visiting Westminster Central Hall.
