William Bardsley Brash was twice Secretary of the Oxford District and minister at Wesley Memorial Church, and retired to Oxford after a ministry serving in many circuits and lecturer and Principal of Didsbury Theological College in Manchester (1939-49).
Born in Yorkshire in 1877, he died in St Ives in Cornwall in 1952. His Methodist Recorder Obituary said:
As a preacher and lecturer he was in great demand. He loved Methodism and cherished its best traditions. He enjoyed a deep Christian experience, possessing a strong and radiant faith in God.
